I've had four rainbows drop since the final character wipe in December. One was a really crummy set of gloves. I tried to use them but they just were no help at all. Sold em off at the shop. I see lots of weapons in this thread but not a lot of armor. The first two are body armor and amazingly I had the same two armors (on different toons) drop in previous builds. I got this one off of Abaddon this morning: Iced Mitts I really think the quality of the Rainbow Items should be looked at. The Def is very high and the gloves provide an extra 32 dps, but all-in-all, these gloves aren't that great... -------------------- /twitch (TM) |

Got my first rainbow drop tonight! Was grouping for the first time (loved it!), with a bunch of friendly fellows who were farming Sissyrat. After a couple runs, I start asking about rainbow drops, how rare are they, can they drop from this boss, etc... then we kill it, and fwoom! Demon Sniper! I love it!! I'm a Mage, too!  |

Here are the two that i have. I had 4 others but never got a pic of em and already sold em. incrusted leviathon carpace hole puncher it would really kick if the mods for agi and end were swapped had +4% ranged attack dam instead of attack rating and had +51 fire/ice/shadow/poison/divine instead of the +254 health but eh...still nice <G> |

D'habl'u Ti'eff Crystal Globe After hearing of all the horror stories about wrong class rainbows drop, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Crystal Globe drop in Vergrim's Vexation, level 5. The bow was grabbed from a fellow DR who offered it up, I know a ranger who'll put it to excellent use. |

Try to get pictures of the actual items, not just the stats, eh? 'cause purples, at least, seem to have some unique graphics. Most of the items I've seen don't have any better graphics than purples do. That being said, I've seen two crossbows with unique graphics. Here's what one of my old xbows was before .49 and what it turned into: Before - Hole Puncher After - D'habl'u T'ieff I've seen others with a cool, pinkish/purple alien head crossbow, but nobody has ever replied to my questions of what it actually is... -------------------- /twitch (TM) |

I cleaned up the links above wish i could just remove or edit that post. So now i put more rainbows in 1 nice pic for everyone to view. Keeps my photobucket clean this way. Rainbows can drop anywhere or from any mob or chest. There is a higher chance of getting one in HDoL. Bosses also have a higher drop rate but still very rare. You have to be level 15 to have a rainbow drop and there are many characters in their 30's that have never had one drop.
