King's Coin vendors often reward one with gear that is not as good as what one already has equipped. I would like to see a checks-and-balances system where the game assigns some sort of ranking to items. The King's Coin vendors could then reward one with items that have a higher ranking than the one currently equipped.

That might be a problem if you had an extremely lucky drop to equip, and then the rewards would set up an inflationary spiral of powerful items for you. Maybe they could reward with a goodly amount of currency instead of a piece of junk that you'd sell anyway.

We are aware of the issues associated with the King's Coins rewards. Rest assured we are committed to fixing the problem.

Care to give away any hints as to what the "fixed" state would be? Cuz lemme tell you... right now I've got like 50 King Coins stored in muh bank account...

I haven't been in-game since before The Cataclysm (Jan 31st Billing), but I surely expect them to be there still when I choose to become a member... and I'd like to be rewarded for the bother of storing them for so damn long...
