The reality is that it may take some skill to pull off the switching of the weapons but it does indeed exploit a part of the design of the game. There is no damage taken over a given time frame and in pvp that equates to a huge unfair advantage.

As for you comments about higher level players abusing this, I for one have never noticed it occuring in any matches with other 100's that I have been in.

"In the game, you only have your word and your rep.. Someone recently told me that." I know this is directed at me and I am comfortable with the fact that I broke my word to preserve my rep. I dont cheat and wont know of what I consider a exploit and not tell the devs. As corny as it may sound, I actually care about the game.

I've tried testing your claim that switching equipment causes no damage over a time period. For what I can see, there was no delay, as I continued to take damage and my hps declined. If you would like to show me how someone can achieve this, take me off of ignore and talk to me online.

Have a beautiful day.

No offense but are you serious?? Can we not have a discussion where we disagree?

no kidden.. locking this down just means there is nothing wrong with the points being made and nothing will be done to fix it. Like puttting all the files on area 51 in a bomb fire.

Oh, of course. That has happened countless times, and it will continue on. I like seeing the exchange of ideas. It would be a shame if we could only see a discussion from a single viewpoint. But how that information is conveyed - that is what it comes down to. When I start to pick up on some agitation I generally try to "save" the thread by posting first. The idea here is prevention so I don't have to do just that

My statement is what the title of this topic is - ENOUGH ALREADY. Every day the PvP discussion forum has "new super important " topics that need to be taken care of immediately or else!...or so it is said by a very small number of the same people all the time.
It is frustrating to see how the pvp forum always has this major issue and it is commonly revolving around someone/group of players or type of class that is somehow cheating, been nerfed, is over powered, etc etc etc etc and that the pvpers deserve some sort of immediate attention from stephen directly.

Im finally to my end of this ongoing pvp discussion and am thoroughly disgusted that somehow a small cadre of serious pvp players have so much trouble all the time. I logged on and off 20 tines yesterday and noted each time the amount on the pvp server each time as follows: 7, 9, 13, 14, 18, 21, 12, 7 , 4, 10, etc....

im not sayin pvp isnt (i cringe to use the word) important, but it seems DR is struggling to cater to the few, not the many in this case

Some of you sound like my litle bro when i used to beat him down playing mortal kombat on genesis all the time - until he learned to win more on his own without calling me a cheater and smashing a controller on the floor.

enough already please, i havent even tried pvp but once bc of the ppl that seem to be the few that are always involved, and if this is the way they are in forum, i dont want to be anywhere around them playing.

I can understand the feeling of "enough already", as the PVPers do as well, according to this post subject. Perhaps there are more posts right now for PVP, but I don’t know how there’s anything wrong with that (no matter the number). We all have are gripes about things and I have seen just as many new gripes, suggestions, etc posted on here in other subjects. This is an area for discussion after all. It’s here for these purposes. If you don't like PVP, simply do not read the posts, no one is telling you to. And your dislike does not invalidate their claim on writing such posts simply because you don't like PVP in general.

The serious PVPers take the time to tweak their characters for a good/fair fight with one another. It's well within their rights to point out things that may need worked on or fixing. As I've read in other posts, from the devs I believe, it would be highly time consuming and difficult to test every single level (character wise) to find every little, possible problem within the game. So it's always beneficial when the player notices something and let's the developers know. The PVPer's post because we are lucky enough to have such wonderful interaction with the developers of this game and they know that what they say will be given credence by the devs.

Just remember that in this game every PVPer is a PVEer too. It is fairly obviously by the number of LvL 100s that PVP. This may be the reason why it seems like so many people post on the PVP forum. These same people, as well as many others, probably/have suggested just as many things for PVE to be fixed, etc when this game first came out and as it grew.

All in all, I truly don't understand the feeling that PVP is viewed as some different entity from the rest of the game. PVE & PVP make up the whole of Dungeon Runners. When fixing things within the game, whether for PVP or PVE, it is for the betterment of the game as a whole. You can choose to play both, one or the either, or neither (that is if someone gets tired of, fed up with or just simply moves on to something else). However, if you choose to not play one aspect of the game, so be it. But to then come on and complain about it on the forum designated for PVP (when they are only pointing out a problem) is not helpful or productive at all and will probably only make things worse.

In most MMOs I've played in, the PvP folks are on the forefront of finding bugs and pointing out imbalances. This isn't saying that PvE folks don't know powers or how the mechanics in a game works, it's just that it seems that PvP seems to attract that breed of player that seeks to know intimately whether or not the power works as it should. Most of them test things out to see if they can find advantages inherent in powers and often overlooked by the general population.

I've PvPed a grand total of once in DR. So, this isn't about a PvPer defending the PvP crowd.
