This is a polite request for data from anyone who wishes to help and is the third such request posted in the general discussion forum.

I am currently trying to calculate the damage equation for ranged attacks. I have calculated other equations and I wish to try and sort out this one.

So anyone with a couple of spare minutes in game who wishes to help me solve this can you post in this thread with the following information:

I need your characters level
your total agility
the ranged damage bonus and the percentage ranged damage bonus if any on any equipment you have
The particular damage type bonus and the percentage damage bonus if any on any equipment you have this refers to bonus to slashing or piercing attacks please only post the one relevant to the weapon damage type you currently have equiped
The particular element damage on weapon attack bonus and the percentage element damage on weapon attack bonus if any on any equipment you have
the min and max damage listed in the weapon description
the min and max damage from the character sheet
the attack speed of the weapon listed in the character sheet
To make it simple you can just copy the below and fill in the relevant information.

I tried to do the equation myself with number someone else had gathered in another thread using the equation [AGI*1.5]+max weap DMG=max total DMG. That was off by 20 exactly, so i'm not sure if i did the math wrong or what...but here are the numbers. I hope they help.

Whats the ranged dps equation is it
{[(1/Attack Speed) x Min Dmg] + [(1/Attack Speed) x Max Dmg]} / 2 = Avg Ranged dps

And does the bonus ranged atack attack add in when you look at the dmg at your character info? Like 145+ ice dmg to weapon is that add when you look at your dmg?

Hi the damage equation you used was probably from my thread in the player guides section. The data from it will be slightly off and this is the reason I wish to get more data. Can you post your total ranged damage as I forgot to ask for that.

My total ranged damage is 621-1228

Min Ranged Damage = [0.75*AGI]+Min weapon damage
Max Ranged Damage = [1.5*AGI]+Max weapon damage

I made up my formula but i was wondering where u get the .75 or 1.5 from?? My forula was based on what i saw on the character page. Now are u calculating DPS cuz you don't ask for attack speed.

Average Equipped DPS w/o speed buff = 3245.83
Average Equipped DPS w/speed buff = 4173.21

Your calculations don't account for elemental weapon dps (unless you count it under Damage Type Bonus, which I interpreted as Piercing, Slashing, etc...). For example, +20 poison dps to weapon attack. Please note, this is NOT the same buff as +20 Damage per Second to Poison Attacks as that buff only affects poison attacks themselves, they don't add to the weapon damage.... FYI, the elemental bonuses in the bottom right of the Character Sheet only reflect bonuses to elemental damage through skills, not elemental weapon damage. THAT value appears to be added automatically to the min/max damage and DPS calculations.

Here's my info for my non-member, lowbie ranger alt:

Damage type bonus: 69 (includes Piercing DPS and Divine DPS to Weapon Attack)
Percentage Damage Type Bonus: 0%

Weapon Max Damage: 97
Total Min Damage from character sheet: 218
Total Max Damage from character sheet: 431

Average Equipped DPS w/o speed buff = 811.25
Average Equipped DPS w/speed buff = 901.39

I'm not sure about the elemental damage being added on your character sheets Max Damage output. I have a total of +151 poison DPS to weapon attacks and I think that breaks the equation if that factors in directly at all...
